Stonewall Jackson High School becomes Unity Reed High School

While our school has existed for fifty years, you are the first students of Unity Reed High School. As you may have heard, our school recently underwent a name change from the former Stonewall Jackson High School. This change is significant to our community as our students and teachers were able to be a part of the process, sharing their ideas and stories. The name means so much to us because Unity reflects the cooperative culture of our community and Reed honors a beloved security assistant whose legacy we want to carry with us in the future. You can read more about this process, Mr. Reed, and our hope for the symbolic change in the articles below.
